Acrobatic Gymnastics Team
The Acro competition season is underway!!  The first meet was held Feb 11-12 at West Coast Training Center in Livermore, CA.  Our Advanced Team athletes got a chance to showcase a lot of hard work and preparation with their very difficult skill sets.  Most of our level 6 athletes had a chance to compete for the very first time!  It was awesome to introduce them to the Acro community for the first time and see them fully engaged and glowing with excitement!
This past weekend, we set off for Sacramento to compete at the River City Classic at International Gymnastics Center! Team ATA showed up and had a stellar performance coming home with 14 medals!  More importantly, everyone earned qualifying scores and had a wonderful experience!  For our regional track athletes, this was their first time competing and they did a great job!  Congratulations athletes!  Next stop, ATA’s own local meet, Silicon Valley Classic, March 18-19.
Congratulations to the trio of Ansley Gravink, Jessica Mendoza and Alyssa Morris for successfully testing up to the Jr Elite level!!  For all the girl’s it’s their first time being at the elite level.  After several years of competing in Acro, they are realizing a very big dream come to reality!  We know that there are going to be many awesome experiences ahead for this trio!   You made us incredibly proud, trio!!

Finally, many of our Team ATA families got to enjoy some amazing inspiration by attending a performance of Cirque du Soleil’s Luzia in San Jose!  Watching the amazing performers as they demonstrated the grace, agility and flexibility of acrobatic acts was truly awe inspiring!  Even our own ATA coaches got into the act!!
